 11:28 p.m. -- The Grammys close on a Strong Island note, bringing on Public Enemy's Chuck D for the hip-hop finale, alongside LL Cool J. 
 11:20 p.m. -- Mumford and Sons wins album of the year for "Babel," which surprised even them considering the Black Keys winning streak. 
 11:10 p.m. -- Frank Ocean is making an amazing first impression on a lot of people with this gorgeous version of "Forrest Gump." I kept wondering if Prince was gonna sit in, but somehow he wasn't actually needed. Great visuals too! 
 10:57 p.m. -- The tribute to Levon Helm was moving, especially Mavis Staples and Mumford and Sons, but when Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard wailed away, it certainly made me wonder why she didn't get to sing a song of her own as well. Alabama Shakes would have been a great band for the Grammys to introduce to a wider audience. 
 10:20 p.m. -- Gotye wins record of the year for "Somebody That I Used to Know," giving him three wins for the evening and preventing a fun. sweep. 
 10:10 p.m. -- OK, I'm not going to complain about how this "Bob Marley Tribute" only included one Marley song because it was really pretty great -- especially when Rihanna joined Bruno Mars, Sting and Damian and Ziggy Marley for "Could You Be Loved." But did we really need Sting's "Walking on the Moon" instead of another Marley song? Also, it was really cute how everyone was singing along with "Locked Out of Heaven," including Adele and Keith Urban. 
 9:53 p.m. -- Kelly Clarkson pays tribute to Patti Page and Carole King, showing off her wide vocal range -- from dance pop to "Tennessee Waltz." 
 9:50 p.m. -- Black Keys rock out with Dr. John on "Lonely Boy." 
 9:44 p.m. -- Jay-Z shows off his cool by delivering the best speech of the night, after winning best rap/sung collaboration for "No Church in the Wild." "I'd like to thank the swap meet for his hat," pointing to the baseball cap The-Dream was wearing. Then he walked off. 
 9:27 p.m. -- Kelly Clarkson wins best pop vocal album for "Stronger" and goes off on one of her adorable rambles, calling Miguel's performance sexy and talking about how she got stuck to Miranda Lambert after they hugged. 
 9:23 p.m. -- Maroon 5 and Alicia Keys team up for "Daylight" and "Girl on Fire." 
 9:20 p.m. -- Black Keys' Dan Auerbach wins his fourth Grammy of the night taking the lead, as his band sweeps the rock category, taking best rock album for "El Camino" and best rock performance and best rock song for "Lonely Boy." 
 9:05 p.m. -- Justin Timberlake introduces new soulful song, as well as his current hit "Suit and Tie" with Jay-Z 
 8:50 p.m. -- Fun. wins song of the year with "We Are Young," with singer Nate Ruess saying, "I don't know what I was thinking. If this is in HD, you can see we are not very young." 
 8:45 p.m. -- “Country music has always been so good to me,” says Carrie Underwood, winning best country solo performance for “Blown Away.” 
 8:40 p.m. -- Miguel and Wiz Khalifa sound great doing "Adorn," which won best R&amp;B song earlier. Not sure what that has to do with the best country solo performance, but whatever. 
 8:33 p.m. -- Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley team up on “Over You” and “Home,” a preview of their upcoming “Locked and Reloaded Tour,” which stops at Nassau Coliseum on April 20. 
 8:26 p.m. -- This dramatic, rainstorm-filled fun. performance of &nbsp;"Carry On," really could have closed the night. 
 8:23 p.m. -- Let's get all Long Island up in here. Fun. drummer Will Noon hails from Strong Island, as does Seaford's Matthew Koma, who we got to see with his girlfriend Carly Rae Jepsen. &nbsp; 
 8:20 p.m. -- “As you can see I read the memo,” Jennifer Lopez says, taking the stage in a black gown that exposed her right leg, but nothing risque, as CBS officials requested. 
 &nbsp;8:10 p.m. -- Ed Sheeran and Elton John duet on "The A Team." No offense meant to Elton, but Ed would probably have been better off by himself. 
 8:07 p.m. -- LL Cool J introduces himself to the audience, saying. "A Grammy is a dream come true." 
 8:01 p.m. -- Taylor Swift opens the Grammys with a sneak peek at her Red Tour and its circus theme for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." 
 7:40 p.m. -- Going into the televised ceremony, Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and Skrillex are tied with three Grammys, with Auerbach landing producer of the year and Skrillex sweeping his dance music nominations. Jay-Z and Kanye West, along with Chick Corea, Gotye and Esperanza Spalding are double winners.
