Greyson Chance can't slow down.
Since becoming a YouTube sensation last year for his piano-driven version of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi," the 13-year-old from Edmund, Okla., is in the middle of his second national tour (with his second appearance at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury in the past two months set for Thursday) as well as recording his debut album, which includes his new single, "Waiting Outside the Lines," for Ellen DeGeneres' label.
How's the touring going?
It's going great. We're hitting the audience hard, and they're hitting us back with great energy and screaming really loud. We're having a blast.
Is your head still spinning from all that's happened to you?Last night, I was singing a song from my new album, and I just got lost in the fantasy of the music and the crowd. It was something very spectacular. I love performing, and I love making music and having that connection with my fans.
Have you adjusted to your new life? You know, people ask me, "Why aren't you stressed? Why aren't you worried? You have all these interviews." I love the interviews. Why not go into things with a positive attitude? Even when I'm in the studio and something goes wrong and we lose everything, whoop-dee-doo. You can start over. When the going gets tough, if you have a positive attitude, you can get through it.
