It's polo time, music time, fireworks time . . . and even "Hammer Time" in the Hamptons this weekend:

1. David Johansen -- lead singer of the iconic New York Dolls and "Hot Hot Hot" sensation as his alter ego, Buster Poindexter -- is putting on an acoustic show 8 tonight, at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett (161 Main St., 631-267-3117, stephentalkhouse.com). Tickets start at $25.

2. International polo star (and model) Nicolas Roldan returns to the East End, once again serving as host of the Charity Polo Classic, 4-7 p.m. tomorrow at a private residence in Water Mill. The event will include a silent auction, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a private polo match and a live performance from musicians Dean & Ravo. Proceeds benefit Rally for Kids With Cancer, an organization that collects charitable funding for the treatment and research for children with cancer. Tickets start at $150 (available at giltcity.com).

3. MC Hammer (yes, that MC Hammer) headlines the Alexander Soros Foundation's summer soiree, "Unmasked," 6:30-11:30 p.m. tomorrow at Fairview Farm in Bridgehampton. Committee chairs include actors Anne Hathaway, Emma Thompson and Robert Redford. The dress code is summer formal -- guests are asked to wear masks, which will be collectively removed with a flourish at a set time during the night. Tickets start at $1,000 (includes cocktails, dinner and dancing). Call Ashley Wierdsma at 212-505-1253 for purchase (details at alexandersorosfoundation.org).

4. Although the Fourth of July has passed, families can still catch some rockets and their resulting glare at 9:15 tomorrow night, when the Devon Yacht Club in Amagansett (300 Abraham's Landing Rd., 631-267-6340, devonyc.com) is scheduled to shoot off a fireworks display. The grounds are members-only, but all are invited to enjoy the view from nearby Fresh Pond Beach for free.
