The track, produced by Mike WiLL Made It of 2 Chainz fame, feels more like Rihanna circa “Umbrella” than something cutting edge. Maybe that’s why Cyrus, who co-wrote the song with Mike WiLL and Rock City, feels the need to generate some attention with lyrics about strip clubs and drug use. (“La-da-di-da-di, we like to party,” she sings. “Dancing with Molly, doing whatever we can’t.”)

Cyrus' fans ate it up, with the video generating 1.8 million views in a day on YouTube and the single zooming to No. 1 on iTunes.

Unfortunately, the "adult" lyrics don't really make her seem any cooler, just that she’s trying too hard. They also feel out of place in what could have been a catchy song.
