Britney Spears unveiled her new single “Hold It Against Me” this morning, a day ahead of schedule. The thumping dance track is immediately catchy and will soon be pounding its way across all sorts of radio formats. She plays it a bit safer on the lead track from her still-untitled album due out in March. There aren't many distinctive hooks built into it – no unique vocal take like “Womanizer” or singular synth squiggles from “Toxic.” “Hold It Against Me” is four-on-the-floor dance pop that is sure to please fans. And she was right, it is way better than the demo version.

[If this version goes out, Z100 is streaming it on their site.]
