Country star Jason Aldean announced plans for a 22-city summer tour titled Songs About Us that will stop at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater.

Aldean’s Jones Beach date is scheduled for Sept. 11, the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on New York City’s Twin Towers. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com.

Aldean, 48, last week celebrated his 31st No. 1 single on the country charts, "How Far Does a Good Thing Go." His next album, "Songs About Us," is due for release April 24 — the 12th album in a recording career that dates back to 2005, when his self-titled debut album went platinum and yielded "Why," a No. 1 single on the country music charts. Aldean’s 2010 album "My Kinda Party" became a quadruple-platinum smash and his fifth album, 2012’s "Night Train," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart. The singer played at a concert celebrating President Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2017.

Aldean’s 2023 single "Try That in a Small Town," became a flashpoint in the culture wars thanks to lyrics that suggested rough justice for lawbreakers and an accompanying video that featured footage of thieves, rioters and flag burners followed by images of rifle-toting hunters. In August of that year, the song became Aldean’s first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helped signal a resurgence for county music alongside other high-charting hits such as Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" and Luke Combs's "Fast Car."

Aldean’s Jones Beach date will feature support acts Chase Matthew, Mackenzie Carpenter and Dee Jay Silver.
