Jay-Z, Coldplay to collaborate in Vegas

    Apparently the collaboration between Jay-Z and Coldplay’s Chris Martin last week at Yankee Stadium was only the beginning.
    Jay and Coldplay will team-up for “Viva La Hov featuring Coldplay and Jay-Z” on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas to celebrate the opening of the new The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas casino.
    For those not on the guest list of the Cosmopolitan’s three-day, invitation-only event, the show will be broadcast on a 65-foot digital marquee on Las Vegas Boulevard in the heart of the strip.
    Organizers say the show will feature Jay and Coldplay performing separately and together in special “mash-up” performances. If it’s anything like the surprise of Martin singing “Heart of the City” last week or maybe Martin singing the hook on “Izzo” or “Big Pimpin’,” it might be worth the trip.
