Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Lady Antebellum added as Grammys performers

A new batch of performers has been added to the 53rd annual Grammy Awards ceremony, with nominees Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Lady Antebellum all slated to take the stage on Feb. 13. Bieber, who is nominated for best new artist, is set to perform with his pop mentor Usher and “Karate Kid” star Jaden Smith, whom he collaborated with on the single “Never Say Never.”

Meanwhile, seven-time nominee Mars will be joined by “Nothin’ On You” collaborator B.o.B as well as contemporary R&B album award contender Janelle Monae in a “rare, never-before-seen presentation,” according to a press release. Along with Lady Antebellum, whose second studio album “Need You Now” is nominated for album of the year, rock nominee Muse will perform at the ceremony from Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

The new group of artists joins previously announced performers Arcade Fire, Eminem, Miranda Lambert, Katy Perry, Cee Lo Green and Lady Gaga, who is expected to debut her new single, “Born This Way.” Bieber, Smith, Mars, B.o.B, Monae and Muse will all make their Grammy stage debuts this year.

With the addition of Lady Antebellum, all five album of the year nominees — Arcade Fire, Eminem, Gaga, Perry and Lady A — are set for Grammy performances. Out of the Record of the Year nominees, only Jay-Z and
Alicia Keys, whose collaboration “Empire State of Mind” is up for the trophy, have not been confirmed as performers.
