How will Kanye West unveil “Swish,” which he just called “the best album of all time”? With the world’s biggest album release party, of course.

West is set to take over Madison Square Garden on Feb. 11 to play the new album in its entirety at an event that also will be streamed to theaters around the world. It’s not clear what will be happening while the music plays, though the event is being billed as “Yeezy Season 3,” which may connect it to his fashion lines — launched at “Yeezy Season 1” and “Yeezy Season 2.” Feb. 11 comes near the start of New York Fashion Week.

Not much is known about “Swish,” though he has released songs from it on the last two Fridays, including “No More Parties in L.A.,” which features this year’s Grammy nominations leader Kendrick Lamar.

Tickets for the “Swish” party go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. American Express cardholders can start purchasing presale tickets at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Though such a big release party is unusual, the rollout for “Swish” has been more conventional than West’s rollout for “Yeezus” in 2013, which featured videos of songs projected on buildings in various cities around the world. In a way, it matches the ambitious, but more conventional feel new songs “Real Friends” and “No More Parties in L.A.” have compared to the “Yeezus” tracks.
