Lady Gaga to release ‘Joanne’ album Oct. 21
Lady Gaga says that she will finish her fifth album “Joanne” (Interscope) this weekend and will release it on Oct. 21.
Gaga told Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Thursday morning that the album, which Mark Ronson produced, will feature collaborations with Florence Welch of Florence & The Machine, Father John Misty, and Josh Homme, who plays guitar on the first single “Perfect Illusion.”
The album title is a tribute to her father’s sister, Joanne, who died when she was 19.
“She is the woman of my past who is becoming and helping me bring more of my honest woman self into the future,” Gaga said.
