Leipzig String Quartet in Hillwood series
WHAT One of Europe's hottest concert hall and classical music festival attractions comes to Long Island for a matinee performance. The Leipzig String Quartet, made up of principal string players from the prestigious Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, performs a program featuring the Haydn Quartet No. 4, Schubert's "Rosamund" and Dvorak's Piano Quintet, on which the foursome is joined by pianist Caroline Stoessinger, artistic director of Tilles Center's Music at Hillwood series.

ART: 'Prints Please' at Islip museum
WHAT The collection of Universal Limited Art Editions lithographs features works by Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Larry Rivers, Cy Twombly, Kiki Smith and others at the Islip Art Museum. Tatyana Grosman and her husband founded the art publishing company in West Islip a half-century ago, before relocating to Bay Shore. Meanwhile, step back into an earlier epoch by experiencing the food, wine and art of the Baroque period with a museum lecture by Kathryn McSweeney of Manhattan's De Buck Gallery while enjoying a Baroque tasting.

THEATER: 'Breaking Up Is Hard to Do'
WHAT The Neil Sedeka musical, "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," takes us back to the halcyon days of the quintessential Catskills resort, circa 1960, as two Brooklyn girls try to salvage a bit of summer romance before the Labor Day weekend is over. Among the 18 Sedeka classics you'll hear are "Sweet Sixteen," "Calendar Girl" and, of course, the hit title song.
