Actress-entrepreneur Lindsay Lohan has recorded a new single, her first since 2008.

Virgin Radio Dubai’s "The Kris Fade Show" on Wednesday played a snippet of the single, titled "Xanax,” and posted a slightly longer excerpt on the radio program's podcast. "She's got brand-new music. She's hit the studio," host Fade said on air. "Y'know, with Lindsay, when she hits the studio you're not sure what's going to come out," he said, before assuring, "I really do like it. … It’s a really good song."

Fade described the song as "about anxiety and pressure and just taking care of yourself … I think there's a really cool message behind it. But right now, you're hearing it first."

In the podcast's 34-second snippet, the song opens with a heavy beat and a Middle Eastern-inspired melody. "Would you like to sit next to me? / When you kiss me, I can't breathe," Lohan sings. "I try to stay away from you / but you get me high / Only person in this town that I like / Guess I can take one more trip for the night / Just for the night / Only one reason I came here / Too many people I can't get down / I got here at 10 . …"

Lohan, originally of Cold Spring Harbor and Merrick, has not commented on social media. In the 2000s, she released two albums, "Speak" (2004) and "A Little More Personal (Raw)" (2005), EPs including "First" (2005) and "Confessions of a Broken Heart" (2006) and the Motown single "Bossy" (2008).

She recently was announced to be a judge on the musical game show "The Masked Singer Australia."
