HOT SONG
Foster the People's infectious "Pumped Up Kicks" (Columbia/Star Time) has summer indie anthem written all over it. Part Peter, Bjorn and John's "Young Folks," part Vampire Weekend, with the vocal distortion from Beck's "Loser" thrown in, "Pumped Up Kicks" keeps getting better with every listen, as you try to figure out what's going on. The odd chorus is a great sing-along, but it's the loping groove that's the real inescapable hook.
