Lou Christie steps in for Bobby Rydell at Westbury

Lou Christie will perform as part of the Dix Fox Doo Wop Extravaganza at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on December 4, 2010.
Lou Christie will step in for Bobby Rydell when The Golden Boys play the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Thursday.
Rydell underwent a liver and kidney transplant earlier this month. The singer, 70, is best known for “Wild One” and “Volare.”
Christie – known for “Lightning Strikes” and “I’m Gonna Make You Mine” -- will join Frankie Avalon and Fabian. Tickets, $29.50-$49.50, are still available at livenation.com.
