The forecast for September is metal madness at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater as Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth headline a double bill on Sept. 12. The Hu and Fire from the Gods will serve as opening acts.
Five Finger Death Punch is coming back swinging by dropping a new single, “AfterLife,” which is the title track for the band’s forthcoming ninth studio album.
Megadeth also has a new album on the horizon called “The Sick, The Dying…and The Dead!” due on July 8, featuring Steve Di Giorgio from Testament on bass (Di Giorgio replaced original bassist Dave Ellefson). On the record, the band covers Dead Kennedys’ song “Police Truck” and Sammy Hagar’s “This Planet’s on Fire (Burn in Hell),” featuring guest vocals from Hagar himself.
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com. Check the Ticketmaster website for various presale opportunities.
