In "Timelines," one of the standout tracks from Motion City Soundtrack's standout new album "Go" (Epitaph), singer Justin Pierre brings a rapid-fire catalog of images to a staggering halt. "It's not a matter of time," he declares. "It's just a matter of timing." Well, the perennially underappreciated Minneapolis band may have found the right timing for an upbeat collection of power pop about solutions for worrisome things. The pretty, acoustic "Everyone Will Die" suggests finding companionship. The anthem-like indie-rocker "The Worst Is Yet to Come" promotes acceptance. With "Go," Motion City Soundtrack delivers an empathetic good time. Who doesn't want that?
