Live Nation celebrated National Concert Week Monday by slashing ticket prices to $20, including fees, for more than 2,000 concerts, including dozens of shows at its area venues.

The Joan Jett & The Blackhearts/Styx show on June 29 and “The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore” show on July 30 at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater are part of the deal, as is the Fall Out Boy show at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum on Aug. 29. A full list of shows included in the deal, which runs until 11:59 p.m. on May 8, is available at NCW.livenation.com.

Taking Back Sunday’s Adam Lazzara and John Nolan were part of the star-studded launch event in Manhattan Monday afternoon, talking about the power of live music and what it means to them to carry on that tradition with their summer tour with pals Coheed & Cambria, which stops at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn on July 21. “Your first concert is something you don’t forget,” said Lazzara, whose first show was North Carolina hardcore band Codeseven. “To be able to be part of that experience for someone is really awesome. We feel really fortunate to be in a position for that to happen.”

Counting Crows and Live are teaming up for their third tour together this summer, stopping at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 22. Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz joked with Live singer Ed Kowalczyk that their fans react differently to their bands. “When he asks for bras, he gets like 700 bras onstage,” joked Duritz. “I just get hit in the heat with poetry journals.”
