Neil Diamond, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Brooklyn native, will celebrate his half-century long career with “The 50 Year Anniversary World Tour,” which includes two nights at Madison Square Garden.

Diamond’s tour will start April 7 in Fresno, California, and run through August. He plays Madison Square Garden on June 15 and 17. Tickets go on sale Dec. 9 through Ticketmaster. American Express cardholders can purchase pre-sale tickets starting Mondayat 10 a.m.

“Neil Diamond is more than just a music icon,” Michael Rapino, Live Nation Entertainment president and CEO, said in a statement. “His singular artistry and talent has left an indelible mark on American culture and has helped shape the sound of popular music for five decades.”

Diamond, also a member of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame, is best known for a decades-long string of hits from “Solitary Man” to “America” to the perennial singalong “Sweet Caroline.”
