Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Jessie J are working together on a joint single called "Bang Bang," which will be released July 29 by Republic Records.

"Bang Bang" is being described as a "powerhouse anthem" according to Republic's news release. It will also be Jessie J's lead single off her upcoming album "Alive," which is due out in the fall. The song will also appear on Grande's sophomore album "My Everything," which is set to drop Aug. 25.

Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya, the producing team behind Grande's hit "Problem," are also working on "Bang Bang."

'Notebook' notes

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since "The Notebook" came out and became THE date movie of the summer of 2004. In an interview with VH1 on Tuesday, director Nick Cassavetes revealed that the on-screen chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams was not as real as it appeared to be. In fact, the two stars had a huge fight on the set and Gosling asked Cassavetes to replace McAdams with another actress so he could rehearse a scene off-camera.

Cassavetes saved the day -- and possibly the film -- with an impromptu therapy session in which the actors worked out their differences. Gosling and McAdams dated on and off for four years before they split in 2007.
