Nile Rodgers plans to use his upcoming FOLD Festival in Riverhead as a way to showcase Long Island musicians.

The leader of Chic will invite one solo artist and one band from Long Island to perform two songs for each day of the festival at Martha Clara Vineyards on Aug. 12-14, which includes headliners DNCE, Earth, Wind & Fire and Bette Midler.

The contest, open to those over 18, is a fundraiser for East End Arts, which will coordinate the entries and collect a $30 submission fee for each application.

The application deadline is June 26 through the group’s website eastendarts.org.
