Paul Simon is homeward bound.
On June 30, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will headline his first show at Forest Hills Stadium since 1970, blocks from where he grew up in Queens.
The last time Simon played Forest Hills Stadium was when Simon and Garfunkel played their final concert before their first breakup.
Simon’s upcoming concert will support his new “Stranger to Stranger” album set for release this spring.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, through ForestHillsStadium.com. American Express cardholders can purchase pre-sale tickets from Monday, Feb. 22, through 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26.
Simon’s show is part of the Forest Hills concert season which includes Mumford & Sons’ sold-out shows on June 16 and 17 and Disclosure’s “Wild Life” tour stop on June 18. The venue will also bring public tennis matches back to the former home of the U.S. Open, when the New York Empire tennis team plays its home matches there.
