Quick programming note: The seventh annual Port Jefferson American Music Festival is happening Sept. 29-30.
More acts will be added soon, but for now, zydeco band River City Slim & the Zydeco Hogs play at 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Port Jefferson Ferry dock. It’s free.
At 10 that night, local blues god Kerry Kearney plays on the ferry.
