Prophets of Rage -- the new political hip-hop super group featuring Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord, Cypress Hill’s B-Real and members of Rage Against the Machine -- will launch a national tour at the Republican convention in Cleveland and include stops at Barclays Center and Nikon at Jones Beach Theater.

“Dangerous times demand dangerous songs,” say the group, which has been performing songs including the Public Enemy classic that gave them their name and “Welcome to the Terrordome,” as well as Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls on Parade” and Cypress Hill’s “Insane in the Brain.”

Guitarist Tom Morello calls Prophets of Rage an “elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election year [expletive].”

“All I know is rehearsals are taking place and they’re hard,” Roosevelt’s Chuck D told Rolling Stone recently. “After the rehearsals, the shows are easy. This is like the Chicago Bulls when they’re in practice. By the time you get to the game?... The game is easy. You can beat anybody.”

The full “Make America Rage Again Tour” was announced after Prophets of Rage played a surprise show at Warsaw in Brooklyn Sunday night, when their surprise appearance at Governors Ball was rained out.

They return to the area at Barclays Center on Aug. 27 and Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 28.

Tickets are $29.50-$99.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.
