Reed, Rakim among 2010 LI Music Hall of Fame inductees

Iconic rocker Lou Reed, hip-hop legends Eric B. & Rakim, prog-rock heroes Dream Theater, Grammy-winning gospel star Donnie McClurkin and the historic Roslyn concert venue My Father's Place run by Michael "Eppy" Epstein lead this year's class of inductees into The Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
Also set to be inducted in the hall's third ceremony, on Nov. 16 at Oheka Castle in Huntington: Folk singer and radio host Oscar Brand, TV hosts Carole and Paula, jazz musician Teddy Charles, New York Philharmonic clarinetist Stanley Drucker, classical composer Morton Gould, rock photographer Bob Gruen, jazz drummer Roy Haynes, producer and musician Al Kooper, Agency Group president Steve Martin, famed WLIR program director and DJ Denis McNamara, Latin bandleader Eddie Palmieri, "Leader of the Pack" girl group The Shangri-Las, and avant-garde composer John Zorn.
