Review of Bon Jovi's 'Because We Can'
Bon Jovi tries to freshen its sound on its new single "Because We Can" (Island), taking the same kind of rock anthem it has been working over the past three decades and applying a distinctly present-day production style to it. The upbeat chorus features the same kind of stacked vocals sound that fun. uses on its hits -- a weird choice, considering it's a little off-putting to some of the Jovi faithful without really gaining the band any new fans. Its country move sounded more believable.
