Yes, it's true, Rihanna and Britney Spears are teaming up for “S&M.”

Dream on, dudes, they've collaborated on the remix of the song. THE SONG.

“It was really amazing that she really wanted to be part of this song,” Rihanna told Z100's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show this morning, adding that she was surprised since Spears rarely appears as a guest on others' records. “It made it really special, because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore. Just call us R&B.”

Well, “R&B” started hyping the release on Twitter, hours before it arrived this morning on Z100 and went on sale on

“U think they're ready Ri Ri,” Spears tweeted.

“U gangsta,” replied Rihanna.

“You ain't so bad yourself honey,” replied Spears.

There isn't much remixing, basically the Rihanna original with Spears now taking on some verses, but does that really matter? And, yes, the little bit of The Cure's “Let's Go to Bed” is still intact.

The added Brit boost may help push “S&M” to No. 1 on the Billboard charts so that Ri Ri can keep up with gal pal Katy Perry, whose “E.T.” made her “Teenage Dream” album the first album to spawn four No. 1 singles since Usher's “Confessions” in 2004. “S&M,” which follows three No. 1s from Rihanna's “Loud” album, is currently No. 2 for its second week behind Perry's “E.T.,” whose remix features Kanye West.

No word on whether there's an “S&M” remix video planned, but Rihanna told Elvis Duran it's possible. “I hope [we do a video for the song],” she said. “I want to spank Britney.”
