Ringo Starr has canceled seven dates on his current tour with his All Starr Band after testing positive for COVID-19.

On Monday, after the group had already canceled its Saturday and Sunday shows in Michigan and Minnesota, Starr's social media posted: "It has been confirmed today that Ringo has Covid and his current All Starr tour will be on hold while he recuperates."

In addition to those two shows, the 82-year-old, nine-time Grammy Award-winning drummer — a two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, with The Beatles and as a solo artist — canceled five Canadian concerts from Oct. 4 to 9. "Ringo hopes to resume as soon as possible and is recovering at home," the message continued. "As always, he and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them back out on the road soon. Check his website for any further updates. Peace and Love, Team Ringo."

The tour's next stop is Seattle on Oct. 11. Earlier this year, the band had postponed 12 dates after band members Edgar Winter and Steve Lukather tested positive for COVID-19.
