Rock & Roll Hall of Famer LL Cool J is returning to his old stomping grounds in Queens. The 54-year-old rapper will present the "Rock the Bells Festival" at Forest Hills Stadium on Aug. 6.

“This festival is my way of showing love to the community of hip-hop and celebrating the incredible journey this culture has taken, going from DJ Kool Herc’s Sedgwick Avenue rec room, to the global phenomenon we all cherish today,” said LL Cool J, who currently lives with his family in Nassau County. “Getting to bring some of the most iconic and influential hip-hop artists to the same stage, in my hometown and the city that started it all, is an honor and I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store for them.”

The event will feature live performances from Ice Cube, Rick Ross, Lil’ Kim, The Diplomats featuring Cam’ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, Fat Joe and Remy Ma, Jadakiss, Scarface, Trina, N.O.R.E., Digable Planets and, of course, LL Cool J with DJ  Z-Trip and other acts to be announced. Hip-hop pioneer Roxanne Shanté will serve as the host with music by DJ Mister Cee & DJ Scratch. Additionally, there will be interactive experiences, art exhibits, food, fashion and more.

Tickets for the festival will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via foresthillsstadium.com. Register at rockthebellsfestival.com for presale tickets. Check the Forest Hills Stadium website for other presale opportunities.
