Talk about building a mystery.
Sarah McLachlan is playing a free show in New York Thursday, but, unless you're really lucky, you're going to have to leave the city to see it. See, the Queen of the Lilith Fair is the high-profile kickoff to Jet Blue's new "Live From T5" concert series, which will have McLachlan playing at the airline's Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport past the security checkpoint. (Jet Blue will select 15 lucky fans to win a pair of tickets to the show - and to the Lilith Fair on Saturday at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. - if they become fans of the airline on Facebook.)
McLachlan will be playing songs from her "Laws of Illusion" album, her first in seven years, offering a sneak preview of what her Lilith Fair set might be like. Her show marks a big jump in star power for the concert series, which started last year with up-and- comers like Dan Dyer, Nicole Atkins and Justin Townes Earle.
Can a series of in-flight concerts be far behind?
