Shy Girls' 'Still Not Falling': Stylish, with legs

Shy Girls' new single "Still Not Falling" (Hit City) is the strongest of a flurry of new songs that combine indie-rock style with the influences of '80s synth pop and '90s R&B to build something new and exciting. Dan Vidmar, the one-man-band from Portland, Ore., is one of those acts that arrives fully formed on his debut EP "Timeshare," with a song that is stylish enough to be part of a new movement and substantive enough to live on even after it passes.
