Taking Back Sunday to play Taste of Chaos at Jones Beach

Taking Back Sunday will play this year’s Taste of Chaos tour with Dashboard Confessional, including a stop at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on June 18.

The Long Island scene heroes will take a break from the studio, where they are working on the follow-up to “Happiness Is,” for the 37-date tour that launches June 3 in Chicago.

The tour marks the relaunch of Taste of Chaos after a six-year absence and will feature a rotating cast of indie rockers, including Saosin, The Early November and Motion City Soundtrack at the Jones Beach date.

“It has been awhile, but I had always hoped that the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour had a chance to come back,” said Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman, who created Taste of Chaos as a spinoff of the popular tour. “That time is now, and I am excited that the artists thought it was time, too.”

Tickets ($30.95 to $60.95) go on sale at noon Friday through Ticketmaster.
