The Kills' eclectic 'Blood Pressures'
Between The Kills' Alison Mosshart's stint with Jack White in The Dead Weather and her longtime musical partner Jamie Hince's engagement to Kate Moss, the indie rockers have certainly been busy in the three years since the minimalist "Midnight Boom." On "Blood Pressures" (Domino), The Kills are far more eclectic -- from the dub-fueled "Satellite" to the guitar buzz of "Nail in My Coffin" to the percussion-free, old-fashioned waltz "The Last Goodbye." The experimentation has done them good, breathing new life into their sound.
