Now that “The Voice” has finally reached its “playoff” round, (The Round Formerly Known as The Knockouts) there’s a time-tested music industry battle brewing on the team Blake Shelton has chosen to field for public votes.

Sisaundra Lewis has an incredible voice and she showed how well she can use it on Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind.” But young Jake Worthington has a pretty good counter-argument for voters: He’s adorable.

Time will tell how that will shake out -- maybe enough time for Adam Levine to get his “bro-vorce” finalized from buddy Shelton, after the two jokingly bickered on the show.

But just remember, America, vocal powerhouses need love, too. This season's stakes are even higher, as the show announced its first tour, featuring Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin and Top 3 finishers Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin, who will join this season's Top 3 on the road. The tour starts June 21 in San Antonio and stops at the Beacon Theatre on July 7.

Here’s how Team Blake performed in the playoffs:

Audra McLaughlin, “A Broken Wing”: She showed her power on the Martina McBride song, though maybe it seemed a little too easy. Her biggest problem is that she can’t really communicate any emotion beyond nice. “You keep getting better,” Blake said. “You swung for the fence and I really respect that.”

Ryan Whyte Maloney, “Second Chance”: He turned the Shinedown song into something vulnerable and emotional, which is no small feat, managing to get his big vocals under better control. “This is definitely a breakout moment for you,” Usher said.

Madilyn Paige, “Clarity”: She got lost in the Zedd song, co-written by Seaford native Matthew Koma, falling behind the beat and ending a bit wonky. Her sweetness came through, but the teenager isn’t quite ready just yet. “I don’t think this is the best she can do,” Blake said.

Jake Worthington, “Anywhere With You”: More than almost anyone left in the competition, Jake looks like he’s enjoying every moment on the stage. He was as likable as ever on the Jake Owen song. (He was maybe even more likable when he described his girlfriend as “the only girl who treated me like a skinny guy.”) “I think you’re a star,” Shakira said. “People love that kid, including me,” Blake said.

Sisaundra Lewis, “New York State of Mind”: Sisaundra is really in a different competition at this point. Her version of the Billy Joel classic was masterful, cleverly staying jazzily restrained early on so that she could let loose at the end. “I’m blown away,” Usher said. “You’re an amazing talent,” Shakira said. “It’s amazing what you do with a song,” Blake said.
