No doubt, Creed fans will welcome the band with arms wide open tomorrow night at the beach. Slightly bombastic singer Scott Stapp and the rest of the original lineup reunited last year and are still touring in support of "Full Circle."

But what about that other Creed - from "The Office"? Although the real-life Creed Bratton was a founding member of '60 pop band The Grass Roots ("Let's Live for Today"), his character of the same name on the NBC sitcom has much more in common with Creed the band. Here's the tale of the tape:

THE BAND

1. Its debut, "My Own Prison," sold more than 5 million copies since its 1997 release.

2. "Higher" was the first single from 1999's "Human Clay."

3. Although Stapp denies Creed is a Christian band, some of the group's lyrics touch on religious ideas.

4. Opening the show is alt-rock band Theft.

THE DUNDER-MIFFLIN LAYABOUT

1. In season 3's "The Convict" episode, he tells the camera, "Of course I've been to prison. That's where I got the name Creed."

2. Can identify varieties of marijuana from photos ("Northern Lights" Cannabis indica), and presumably he inhales.

3. "You have more fun as a follower, but you make more money as a leader," Creed says of his experiences in religious cults in the "Fun Run" episode of Season 4.

4. Been known to lift a thing or two; "I love stealing," he says.
