Two titans of yacht rock and one of the best power pop bands of the late '70s/early '80s are joining forces for a nationwide summer tour, including a stop at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater.
Toto, Christopher Cross and The Romantics will take the Wantagh venue's stage on July 19.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at totoofficial.com/events.
Toto is best known for their smooth, polished soft rock sound (the core element of yacht rock) and for their hit songs "Rosanna" (No. 2 on the Billboard charts in 1982) and "Africa" (No. 1 in 1983).
Cross' 1980 self-titled debut album won the Album of the Year Grammy in 1981, beating out Billy Joel's "Glass Houses" and Pink Floyd's "The Wall." Cross also won for Record of the Year (for the single "Sailing"), Song of the Year ("Sailing") and Best New Artist.
The Romantics, who formed in Detroit in 1977, are known for their pop-rock hits "What I Like About You," "Talking In Your Sleep," and "One In A Million."
