Marshall Crenshaw, John Waite set to play My Father’s Place

John Waite and Marshall Crenshaw — two of the ’80s most underrated songwriters — are both set to play the new My Father’s Place at The Roslyn Hotel, while Long Island heroes Barnaby Bye have added a second show at the venue.
Waite, best known for his solo hit “Missing You,” as well as his stints in The Babys and Bad English, will play songs from last year’s “Wooden Heart Vol. 2” album, an anthology of acoustic versions of his songs and rock classics at the Oct. 13 show. Tickets are $60 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through myfathersplace.com.
Crenshaw, best known for “Someday, Someway,” will play My Father’s Place on Sept. 15. Tickets are $40 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through My Father’s Place.
And Barnaby Bye, featuring The Alessi Brothers and Peppy Castro, already sold out their Aug. 4 appearance, so they will now also play on Aug. 5. Tickets are $40 and on sale now.
