It was only fitting that the Super Bowl debut of the Who Dat Nation included a halftime show from The Who.

Though Roger Daltrey's lost a few notes off the top of his register and Pete Townshend's trademark windmill moves rotate a bit slower, they still delivered some fire in the 12-minute medley of their hits.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers built the momentum slowly, opening with "Pinball Wizard" and "Baba O'Riley" before kicking into a higher gear with "Who Are You." A snippet of "See Me, Feel Me" settled things down before the band roared into "Won't Get Fooled Again."

As Wanda Sykes pointed out on her Fox show Saturday night, CBS may have asked for The Who to perform so that the band's set could include the theme from "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" followed by the theme from "CSI: Miami" and close out with the theme from "CSI: NY."

She was right, in a way. However, no matter how The Who's catalog is used, the rebellious "Won't Get Fooled Again" maintains its power, especially since it became an American anthem after "The Concert for New York City" in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The Who's gritty performance was a sharp contrast to Queen Latifah, who struggled with the opening of "America the Beautiful," and Carrie Underwood, who had a tough time with the final notes of the national anthem before the game. (Maybe they could have used the AutoTune effect from the talked-about Bud Light commercial.)

Looking to relive The Who's performance for yourself? Well, an edited version of the medley, called "The Who Super Bowl S-mashup," is set to be available today in the Rock Band Music Store for "Rock Band" video games on the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.

The band is also selling the will.i.am remix of the classic "My Generation" from the FloTV Super Bowl commercial today, with proceeds going to Oxfam America's Haiti Earthquake Response Fund.
