Boy bands are back and leading the new generation is Why Don’t We, which brings its “The Good Times Only Tour” to Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on July 6. The Aces and JVKE will serve as support acts.

The quintet, consisting of Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson, Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery and Zach Herron, formed in Los Angeles in 2016 but didn’t release their first album, “8 Letters,” until 2018. Singles “Hooked” and “Talk” got some attention but it wasn’t until sophomore effort, “The Good Times and the Bad Ones” dropped in 2021 that the group grabbed the spotlight. The album made it to No. 3 on the Billboard charts and the single, “Fallin’ (Adrenaline)” cracked the Top 40.

Why Don’t We currently has a new single, “Love Back” as well as a collaboration with Jonas Blue called, “Don’t Wake Me Up.”
