On Stern show, Richards says little about Sheen

Denise Richards said little Tuesday on Howard Stern's radio show or CNN's "The Joy Behar Show" about her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's travails.

"I do know what happened," she assured Behar yesterday evening, but declined to give any details. "I did help him at the hospital," Richards said a moment later.

When Behar asked how Sheen was doing, Richards simply replied, "I'll let you ask Charlie."

Her appearance on Stern's Sirius Satellite Radio show came at the crack of dawn Tuesday, before news of Sheen's incident had circulated. But the actress, in New York to promote her TV show, may have been alluding to her ex's travails when she told him, "It's been a very eventful trip."

On both shows, she took pains to stress that Sheen was a good father. "He comes over for dinner, he goes to birthday parties," she told Behar.

But as far as husband material, she said to Stern, "I think he should stay single and live the bachelor life forever."
