Parents group condemns Miley's VMA act
The fallout from Miley Cyrus' raunchy performance at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards has continued with a Parents Television Council news release condemning the network for "marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars and condom commercials -- while falsely rating this program as appropriate for kids as young as 14," Newsday contributor Frank Lovece reports. The PTC's statement singled out Cyrus and Lady Gaga. An estimated 10.1 million people tuned in to the show, up from last year's 6.1 million.
