'Paul McCartney is dead' rumors

The "Paul is Dead" craze began 42 years ago today -- on Oct. 12, 1969 -- when a radio DJ played the Beatles' "Revolution #9" backward. Here's McCartney in 2009 telling David Letterman how he reacted to the news that he had died:
