Review: Our Darker Purpose is a beautiful dreamscape of a game

Our Darker Purpose is a dark, beautiful, Tim Burton-esque romp through the nightmare dreamscapes of the Edgewood Home for Lost Children, featuring achievements that matter, high difficulty and randomized dungeon crawls. Crystals obtained from each level are used to purchase various upgrades. Players complete various achievements -- like defeating the Ice Dragon with his own ice shards -- to unlock and access "courses" that add powers and abilities to their characters. Our Darker Purpose is a fast-paced, life-or-death frolic that provides many hours of delightfully difficult game play.
