Ryan Seacrest: Sacha Baron Cohen planned ashes for George Clooney

Ryan Seacrest apparently was not the planned target for Sacha Baron Cohen's ash attack at the Oscars red carpet.

"Went to SNL on Saturday, ran into Sacha Baron Cohen," Seacrest tweeted. "We talked... original plan was to ash Clooney!" 

The E! News and "American Idol" host was memorably covered in "ashes" by "The Dictator" actor during an interview before the Academy Awards.

Seacrest handled himself gracefully at the time, quickly changing suits and getting back to his interviews.
