TV chef and author Sandra Lee, domestic partner of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, left an undisclosed hospital Monday after her double mastectomy for breast cancer.

A post on her verified Facebook page, accompanying an image of Lee sitting up in bed with her sister Kimber, read, "Today is an exciting day! Sandra is going home to Lilly [sic] Pond with her sister Kimber and Governor Cuomo. She is most excited to sleep in her own bed -- and see Phoenix and Halo when she wakes up!"

Lily Pond is the name Lee, 48, has given the six-bedroom home in New Castle, Westchester County, that she shares with Cuomo, 57. Phoenix and Halo are her pet umbrella cockatoos.

Lee later posted on Facebook, captioning a photo of herself, Cuomo and one of the birds sitting outdoors, "Home after a long week in the hospital, so happy to be in my own backyard. There is no place like home!" She captioned another photo of herself in the same location, sitting with a bird, "My favorite shot with Phoenix. He wanted to cuddle and cuddle and cuddle!"

The Food Network star, who in addition to sister Kimber has three younger siblings, underwent a nearly five-hour operation Tuesday, a week after having revealed on "Good Morning America" that she had been diagnosed in March with ductal carcinoma in situ during a routine mammogram. A representative for Lee posted ongoing updates on Lee's Twitter page through Saturday.

Before the operation, Lee told People magazine she had chosen to have a double mastectomy rather than undergo six to eight weeks of daily radiation.

She and Cuomo have been a couple for 10 years.
