'The Hobbit' has a new trailer
For those unsated by the 2011 trailer for Peter Jackson's forthcoming "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," good news: A new trailer was released Wednesday.
The 3-D film won't be in theaters until Dec. 14, but the trailer reaffirms that "The Hobbit" will look as gorgeous as its "Lord of the Rings" forebears.
Andrew Lesnie, who shot the "Rings" trilogy, returns as cinematographer to deliver the sweeping landscape shots and chiaroscuroed interiors we've come to expect. Composer Howard Shore, also from the Jackson stable, is back with what promises to be an appropriately regal soundtrack.
As a fun nod to fans, thehobbit.com features a create-your-own trailer function with five different possible endings.
