Great Scott! "Back to the Future: The Musical" is coming to Broadway following a lauded run in London's West End.

"Synchronize your watches. Broadway 2023. Back to the Future: The Musical," reads a tweet posted Wednesday at the Twitter account for the "Back to the Future” franchise based on the 1985 movie hit starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. "Be the first to buy tickets. Sign up yesterday," it cheekily adds of the time-travel story.

The tweet includes a 15-second snippet of the longer trailer at the West End production's website, featuring Olly Dobson as Marty McFly and Roger Bart as Doc Emmett Brown. The London production's various social media also shared the news. The Broadway show's publicity company offered no further information, but promised in an email to Newsday, "We will be in touch in a few months with more details."

The musical, which opened in Manchester, England, in March 2020 before almost immediately going on pandemic hiatus, premiered in London last Sept. 13 and won the Olivier Award, the West End equivalent of the Tony, for best new musical. It has been extended there till February.
