The show "Harmony" will go on, but without Barry Manilow.

The "Copacabana" singer, who co-wrote the new musical with Bruce Sussman, announced that he had to miss Wednesday night's premiere after testing positive for COVID-19.

“This just might be the cruelest thing that has ever happened to me: 25 years waiting for this show to premiere in New York and I can’t attend," Brooklyn-born Manilow, 78, said in a statement. "Even in the face of this pandemic, we New Yorkers remain the toughest, staunchest people on the planet — so, put on a mask and go see a show!”

"Harmony," which is being presented by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, tells the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, a six-member troupe in 1920s Germany who ran into trouble when they brought on Jewish singers.

The Off-Broadway show, which is directed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle, runs through May 8.
