Bob Dylan's 'Girl From the North Country' coming to Broadway

The Bob Dylan musical "Girl From the North Country" is coming to Broadway early next year, following acclaimed runs at the Public Theater in New York and in London.
Written by Irish playwright Conor McPherson, the musical uses Dylan's songbook, including classics "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Make You Feel My Love," to set the tone rather than tell the story of the down-on-their-luck residents of a Depression-era boardinghouse in Duluth, Minnesota. McPherson, whose plays like "The Weir" and "The Seafarer" often touch on the occult, was given freedom by Dylan to use whatever music he wanted in the piece. McPherson will also direct the work, as he's done with past productions.
No word yet on casting but we vote for repeat performances from the Public cast, especially Mare Winningham, who was heartbreaking as the wife of the beleaguered innkeeper.
