THE SHOW “Me and My Girl”

THE DEAL Two-time Tony winner Christian Borle will star in the Encores! concert revival of the 1930s English musical comedy “Me and My Girl,” which runs May 9-13 at City Center. Borle will play Bill Snibson, a working-class Cockney fellow who turns out to be a long lost earl. Robert Lindsay played the role in the hit 1986 Broadway revival. Borle will be joined by Laura Michelle Kelly, Edward Hibbert and Harriet Harris.

THE SHOW “Alice by Heart”

THE DEAL A new musical inspired by the Lewis Carroll classic will be produced next winter Off-Broadway by MCC Theater during its inaugural season at its new theater complex in midtown. The show is the creation of “Spring Awakening” composer Duncan Sheik and lyricist-playwright Steven Sater. Last month, Sheik wrote on social media that singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles also will be involved in the musical.

THE SHOW “Rocktopia”

THE DEAL Two weeks ago, it was revealed that Actors’ Equity Association, the union representing workers, including actors, in live theater performances, had received complaints from its members about the salaries being offered to chorus performers in the new rock-meets-classical music concert “Rocktopia,” which began previews on Broadway this week. After discussions, Equity and the “Rocktopia” producers reached an agreement under which the production will use Equity contracts and substantially increase pay for chorus members.

THE SHOW “Children of a Lesser God”

THE DEAL Hal Luftig, producer of the revival of Mark Medoff’s drama about the romance between a deaf woman and a teacher at the school where she works, announced Thursday that the show at Studio 54 will be the most accessible in Broadway history for deaf and hearing-impaired audience members. Each performance will feature supertitles, in which the play’s text has been incorporated into the show’s scenic design, as well as closed captioning. At select performances, American Sign Language interpreters will be present. For details on select performances, go to childrenofalessergodbroadway.com — DANIEL BUBBEO
