Guess who's coming to Broadway? Faye Dunaway as Katharine Hepburn

Faye Dunaway famously played one screen legend, Joan Crawford, in the 1981 camp classic "Mommie Dearest." Now she'll take on another Hollywood icon, Katharine Hepburn, in the Broadway premiere of "Tea at Five" next summer.

Playwright Matthew Lombardo is crafting a new version of his one-woman play, which originally starred Kate Mulgrew as Hepburn and ran Off-Broadway in 2003. "Tea at Five" will mark Dunaway's first time on Broadway since 1982 when she appeared in the drama "The Curse of an Aching Heart," which only ran for 32 performances. The actress, who became a bona fide film star in the 1967 classic "Bonnie and Clyde," first appeared on Broadway in 1962 as the daughter of Sir Thomas More in "A Man for All Seasons."

News of Dunaway's Broadway return came on Thursday, coincidentally the same day as the Broadway opening of "Network," adapted from the 1976 film for which Dunaway won a best actress Oscar.
